Brand story
De Xterra (1999-2015) was Nissans mid-size body-on-frame offroader die voornamelijk in Noord-Amerika werd verkocht. De Frontier mid-size pickup is sinds 1998 in productie, waarbij de PRO-4X trim serieuze off-roadcapaciteit biedt. De nieuwe Y63 Patrol (2024) verving de langlopende Y62 met twin-turbo V6-krachtbronnen in plaats van de vertrouwde 5,6-liter V8.
Qua techniek onderscheidt Nissan zich door All-Mode 4x4 met eLSD (electronic limited-slip differential), Hydraulic Body Motion Control op de Patrol en Bilstein-schokdempers op de PRO-4X-modellen. De Patrol is vooral populair in het Midden-Oosten en Australië, waar hij een directe concurrent is van de Toyota Land Cruiser 300. De productie van de Patrol loopt in Yokohama (Japan) en sinds 2024 ook in Samalayuca (Mexico) voor de Amerikaanse markt.
