Overview
De full-time vierwielaandrijving heeft een vaste 40% voor / 60% achter koppelverdeling en behoudt de drie sperbare differentieellen. De AMG Speedshift TCT 9G-Tronic is een negentraps automaat. De AMG Ride Control adaptieve ophanging werd in 2024 uitgebreid met AMG Active Ride Control voor extra stabilisatie op de weg.
De G63 sprint in 4,3 seconden naar 100 km/h en heeft het karakteristieke AMG Performance-uitlaatsysteem en de uitgebogen wielkasten. De naderingshoek is 31°, de vertrekhoek 30° en de waaddiepte 700 mm. Het is de duurste 4x4 in de reguliere Mercedes-productie en een culticoon dat hypercar-versnelling combineert met serieuze off-road-hardware.
